The Fresno County Department of Public Health is accepting applications for Occupational Therapist I/II/III. If you are a licensed Occupational Therapist interested in working as part of the Medical Therapy Program within California Children's Services, we encourage you to apply. The California Children's Services Medical Therapy Program provides physical therapy, occupational therapy and medical therapy conference services for children who have handicapping conditions, generally due to neurological or musculoskeletal disorders.

Occupational Therapists are responsible for planning and performing occupational therapy for neurologically and physically impaired clients at California Children's Services Medical Therapy Unit sites, which are located in local public schools. Incumbents are primarily responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to clients who are physically or neurologically disabled by illness, injury, or genetic impairment. Incumbents may assist clients by developing or improving physical skills; restoring muscle function; maintaining maximum performance within the client's capabilities; and improving the level of Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills and productivity.

Please note : The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill both extra-help and permanently allocated positions. Individuals selected for extra-help appointment may be transitioned to a permanently allocated position at a later date as authorized by the Fresno County Personnel Rules.
