The purpose of the class is to represent indigent adults and juveniles charged with less serious criminal offenses; prepare and prosecute criminal cases in a proper, efficient and orderly manner; to supervise the work of subordinate support staff as assigned, and to perform related professional, administrative and supervisory work as required. This class works within broad policy and organizational guidelines and does independent planning and implementation, reporting progress of major activities through periodic conferences and meetings.
Requires Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Must possess and maintain current membership in the S.C. Bar Association. Requires a short demonstration up to and including one month. Must possess a valid state driver's license.
