The City of Irvine seeks enthusiastic and experienced individuals to assist with the coordination and implementation of child services and recreation programs, facility and athletic field operations, and special events at various community parks. These positions arePart-time with a flexible schedule up to 19 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled weekdays 8 a.m.-6 p.m., evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate will possess two years of college or university level work in Recreation, Education, Kinesiology, Human Services, Social Ecology, or related field, and two years of related work experience as a Community Services Leader, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for youth.

The selection process will include aninterview and a thorough background investigation prior to appointment. Candidates may also be required to take and pass a post-offer medical examination, including drug screening, to ensure their ability to perform assigned duties. Part-time employees are employed "at will" and their services can be discontinued without cause.
