Salary: $56,689 - $84,773 per yr
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This position is located within the Communications Section of District II in Reno. The incumbent of this position will maintain data and voice communications infrastructures throughout District II, including sites shared with other agencies/public utilities such as Nevada Department of Public Safety, NV Energy, Nevada Enterprise IT Services, etc. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining various field Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices and systems which will, at times, require the incumbent to perform the duties of the position anytime within a 24-hour period; require the incumbent to work on a mountaintop or on a freeway. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining Department telephone systems and will also provide radio communication support for NDOT District II field personnel.
