The Governing Body is seeking candidates with exceptional communication and listening skills that are experienced in local government, passionate about serving the community, and possess personal and professional integrity of the highest order. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing strong relationships with the City’s elected officials, staff and the community. Candidates with knowledge about law enforcement and that possess experience in growth and infrastructure management, economic development and planning will have an advantage. The next city administrator must be politically astute without becoming personally involved in political issues; an individual who displays initiative, is resourceful and creative with exceptional problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will be an effective team builder, exhibit a collaborative style and is committed to mentoring and developing employees. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university plus a minimum of 5 years of municipal experience in a comparable leadership role is preferred. A Master’s degree is desired. The starting salary will range up to 90,000 depending upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Residency is not required.
